Classic Corn Tortilla with Options

- 2 cups masa harina
- 1½ cups warm water
- ½ tsp. sea salt
- 1 tbsp. cilantro any herbs: parsley, thyme, etc., optional
- 1 cup boneless meat vegan alternative; shredded or chopped is best
In a large mixing bowl, combine the masa harina, salt, and herbs, if using.
Slowly add warm water to the mixture, while continuously stirring, until dough forms together.
Knead dough with your hands, until dough is smooth, and not sticky. Form a ball.
Cover dough with plastic wrap for at least 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, divide the dough into small balls, and using a rolling pin, flatten the dough for each miniature ball.
Heat on medium-high, a skillet or baking pan.
Add flattened dough one by one to the skillet, heating for 30 second intervals on each side, until puffed and browned, slightly.
Cover cooked taco to remain warm.
Add your favorite meat to your dish, along with onions, avocado, cheese or any of your other favorite toppings.
