- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup water warm, 110℉ – 115℉
- 2 tbsp oil olive, vegetable, etc.
Instructions

- In a large mixing bowl, add the flour and salt. Mix briefly.
- Now add to water mixture to the dry ingredients, and knead until well combined, and not sticky. Shape dough into a ball. Grease mixing bowl with the olive oil and set aside, covered for 20 minutes in a warm room.
- Uncover, punch the dough, briefly knead again to reshape the dough into a ball.
- Place in a lightly floured large Dutch pot or large baking sheet. Lightly cover dough with a pot cover or napkin.
- Preheat oven to 375℉.
- Let rise for 30 minutes.
- Uncover dough. Score gently criss cross with a knife or razor, for a pretty finish.

A Brief History of Quick Bread Loaf
The origins of quick bread dates back centuries when natural fermentation was used as a leavening agent. Unlike other quick breads such as scones or biscuits, which relies on chemical leaveners such as baking powder or baking soda, yeast-based bread requires a longer proofing and kneading processes, but results in a distinctively rich flavor profile and chewy texture. Many other breads require many steps and tools to make the perfect bread. Let’s shorten the time.
Yeast Bread Loaf
One of the most enticing attributes of yeast-based bread loaves is their adaptability. From traditional favorites like whole wheat and sourdough to innovative combinations such as herb-infused or cheese-filled variations, there are endless possibilities. These loaves can be savored at any time – be it as a hearty breakfast staple, an accompaniment to savory meals, or paired with soups during lunchtime; they complement various dining occasions with ease.

- Knead gently: Carefully work the dough without overmixing; this ensures proper gluten development without turning it tough. Less flour, the better.
- Loaf shaping: Properly shape your dough before proofing, to ensure uniform rise, while maintaining an appetizing appearance.
- Use a razor, or sharp knife to score bread’s-top, which gives the gasses some room, while displaying a pretty final finish.
