Ingredients
 
 

BATTER

  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 113 g butter
  • 25 g sour cream
  • 1 egg room temp.
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 250 g AP Flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

FILLING

  • 31 g AP Flour
  • 110 g brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 3 tbsp butter (melted)

TOPPING

  • 110 g brown sugar
  • 140 g AP Flour
  • 5 tbsp butter (soft)
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • powdered sugar (sprinkled, optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 8 inch square baking pan, and add parchment.

BATTER

  • In a mixing bowl, mix together the butter, sugar and salt.  After that comes together, add the egg and vanilla. 
  • Then, weigh the flour, and add baking powder to it.
  • Add a third of the flour mix, to the mixing bowl, and then a third of the milk. 
  • Keep doing this process until all is added.  After, add the sour cream.
  • Set batter aside until filling is complete.

FILLING

  • In a small bowl, melt butter.
  • Afterward, add cinnamon, brown sugar, nutmeg and flour. Mix well.
  • Spread ½ of the batter in the cake pan, then, scatter all the filling on top.
  • Add the rest of the cake batter on top of filling, evenly.

TOPPING

  • Mix the soft butter and all the dry ingredients, sans flour in medium bowl.
  • When mixed in, slowly mix in the flour. You should get a dry, crumbly texture when complete.
  • Spread the crumb toppings evenly over cake batter in the cake pan, evenly.
  • Place cake pan in the oven for about 40 minutes, or until cake batter comes out clean.
  • Cool for about 40 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Sift a little powdered sugar over the top
  • Enjoy!
