Ingredients
 
 

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pancakes

  • 188 g AP flour
  • 66 g granulated sugar
  • 45 g unsweetened natural cocoa powder
  • 50 g sour cream
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¾ cups milk
  • â…“ cups vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 120 g mini chocolate chips extra for garnish
  • butter for frying pancakes

Ganache (Optional)

  • 6 oz. heavy cream
  • 3.5 oz. chocolate chip any size

Instructions
 

  • In a measuring cup, add the egg, vanilla, milk, oil and sour cream together.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, add all dry ingredients together.
  • Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix only until batter stops being streaky.
  • Add mini chocolate chips.
  • In a frying pan, heat to medium. Right before adding a hint of butter to the pan, lower the heat to medium-low. Butter pan lightly around the pan, then add the batter. Takes about 2-3 minutes on the first side.
  • When sides of pancakes shows bubbles have popped on top, gently using your spatula, push spatula under pancake, and flip over swiftly to cook on the other side. Takes about 1 to 2 minutes. Makes 6 pancakes.
  • To make the ganache, in a microwave or over a double boiler, add the two ingredients together. Melt slowly to keep gloss. Do not boil heavy cream. Mix well, until smoothed.
  • Drizzle ganache over pancake's top or serve in a side bowl.
