Seared Oven-Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Why not keep things healthy, while still being tasty. If you love a great roasted veggie, these Seared Oven-Roasted Brussel Sprouts are perfect! Great as a dinner side dish, like Steak or fish.
Ingredients
- 14 oz. brussel sprouts whole
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tbsp. ghee or melted butter
- 1 tbsp. minced garlic
- 2 tbsp. cilantro
- salt
- black pepper
- garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 400°F or 200°C.
- Weigh and wash brussel sprout.
- Cut the sprouts in half, short-side.
- Add all ingredients (read notes) to brussel sprouts.
- Prepare a baking sheet, either greased or with aluminum foil. Grease to help remove cooked sprouts. Add seasoned brussel sprouts to baking sheet.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or when sprouts are tender to poke.
- Enjoy!

Notes
This recipe avoids adding measurements to salt, black pepper and garlic powder because that’s really depends on personal preference. You can always add more after roasting.
For less seared or charred sprout, remove the minced garlic and cilantro until the end, as fresh additives to the dish burns quickly. Add after meal is finished roasting, but still very warm. If you want fresh ingredients to cook as well, the happy medium is remove sprouts from oven 2-5 minutes before roasting, toss garlic and cilantro, and place back in oven to finish baking.

Brussel Sprouts are done when you poke with a knife or fork, and it can slip in and out the sprout easily.
