Butter Vanilla Cake w/ Vanilla Buttercream
Enjoy the classic butter vanilla cupcakes. A standard recipe everyone can enjoy!
Ingredients
Cake
- 113 g unsalted butter
- 250 g AP Flour
- 251 g granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk any type
Vanilla Buttercream
- 454 g unsalted butter
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 2 tsp. clear vanilla extract
- ½ tsp. salt
- 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions
Cake
- Preheat oven to 330 F.
- In a mixing bowl, mix together butter and sugar. After well mixed, add the baking powder and salt. After that, add the eggs and then vanilla extract and then the oil. After all is well mixed, add the milk, it will look clumpy and curdled, but that’s fine. Finally, add the flour slowly, while still mixing the batter at the same time.
- Place in a 24 cupcake pan. Cook until golden brown and center comes out clean with a toothpick, no crumbs. Cool before frosting.
Vanilla Buttercream
- Mix together the butter, cream cheese and salt.
- After, mix in the clear vanilla, mix together again.
- Slowly add the sugar on low speed. After everything is added, mix at high speed for 3-4 minutes, until the frosting getting brighter.
